Perks of Presenting
Our esteemed speakers hold a special place at Process Palooza. In acknowledgment of the depth and expertise you bring, the lead speaker (if there is more than one) will enjoy complimentary registration to the full event with the exception of independent sessions that have an added charge aside from registration (i.e. LSS certification course, etc).

Presentation Duration:
All sessions are expected to be 45 minutes in length, inclusive of any Q&A.

Submission Guidelines

Submission Guidelines:

  1. Thematic Emphasis: Process Palooza celebrates continuous improvement, focusing on practical, innovative strategies for enhancing business processes. Session topics should relate to traditional process improvement (change management, voice of the customer, lean principles, etc) and/or AI's transformative influence on processes, lean methodologies, and the future workspace.

  2. Authenticity: Originality is key. For external materials, ensure permissions are secured and proper credits given.

  3. Depth and Insight: Rich content proposals, offering actionable takeaways, pioneering solutions, and insightful perspectives, are preferred.

  4. Presentation Diversity: We welcome diverse formats, be it a traditional lecture with Q&A, a skill building interactive workshop with Q&A, or a blend of both lecture and skill building workshop.

  5. About You:

  • Provide a concise bio detailing your expertise and experiences (200 words max).

  • LinkedIn Profile Handle (e.g., @johndoe)

  1. Abstract: Summarize your session's essence within 200 words, highlighting key points and expected insights for attendees.

  2. Acknowledgments:

  • The submission deadline is MARCH 7, 2025.

  • You will receive a notification of your proposal’s selection or non-selection by MARCH 25, 2025.

  • If selected, you will be asked to confirm within 10 business days.

FAQ: Call for Proposals - Process Palooza 2024

1) What is Process Palooza 2025 about?
Process Palooza celebrates continuous improvement, focusing on practical, innovative strategies for enhancing business processes. The session topics will relate to traditional process improvement topics (change management, voice of the customer, lean principles, etc) and some session topics will include Artificial Intelligence related to process improvement.

2) What are the primary goals of the event?
The event aims to:
  • Offer a platform for professionals to share knowledge on process improvement.
  • Introduce new ideas through The Great Innovate competition to fast-track UC San Diego's process improvement efforts.
  • Encourage networking.
  • Provide hands-on learning opportunities.
  • Celebrate and showcase improvement achievements.
  • Connect sponsors and decision-makers
3) Who is the target audience?
The event welcomes continuous improvement professionals from various industries including Higher Education, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Finance, IT, Business, Research, Non-profits, and Government. This includes:
  • UC San Diego staff, faculty, students
  • Affiliates of University of California and UC Health
  • Representatives from K12 and Higher Educational institutions
  • Professionals from all industry backgrounds
4) What is the event's structure?
Process Palooza 2025 will offer:
  • Keynote speeches, panel discussions, workshops, and breakout sessions centered around continuous improvement.
  • The Great Innovate competition, a real-time challenge applying Lean Six Sigma to university business processes.
  • An expo area for companies to showcase their services, achievements, and tools.

Process Palooza 2025 will be held at the UCSD Price Center on August 6-7, 2025.

7) How can I submit my proposal?
Navigate to the Speaker Proposal Form and complete the form in detail. 

8) What criteria will my proposal be evaluated on? Submissions will be assessed based on:
  • Aligment with event objectives and/or with the general theme of AI and Automation

  • Depth, clarity, and potential impact

9) When is the submission deadline?

10) When will I be notified about the status of my proposal?
You will receive a notification of your proposal’s selection or non-selection by MARCH 25, 2025. If selected, you will be asked to confirm within 10 business days.

11) What perks do speakers receive?
Chosen lead speaker per session topic will receive complimentary registration to the entire event, allowing full access to all offerings with the exception of a few certification courses and related courses that require a payment in addition to registration.
