Process-Palooza Schedule

In the Fall 2016, the Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor- Resource Administration sponsored the Distributed Application Development (DAD) Initiative. The teams used process improvement methodologies on four application development projects. Learning Objectives for this talk include: 1) understanding how process improvement methodologies can be applied in the context of higher education, 2) how to bring stakeholders into the process of continuous improvement in a meaningful and sustainable way, 3) how bringing stakeholders into the process ensures higher adoption rates for technology and sustainable change with process improvement.

Competitors encouraged to work through lunch (volunteers will bring them lunch). Audience lunch seating is available in Building 2 B, 2C and at street level where there are areas to sit and enjoy your lunch.

The Lean Bench Program will consist of a body of Lean Six Sigma experts from the University who will dedicate a portion of their workday to review and certify campus business processes for efficiency prior to system implementation. This critical works directly supports UC San Diego's Enterprise Systems Renewal for business systems.

Learn how two enterprise initiatives - Re:Event and Payment Compass- have changed the way campus and payee communities engage in the procure-to-pay cycle with the University, along with the inside story of how the project teams made process design decisions, adjusted course based on feedback, managed people's expectations, and delivered innovative results with practical, every day value.
